This is printed Ph.D Thesis of Dr. Mazaruddin Soomro. Since last 30 years Sindh has produced handsome number of Ph. D's in various subjects. Printed Thesis in social sciences provide sufficient evidence that my father Dr. Dur Muhammad Pathan has contributed s lot in helping and guiding researchers. When my father was in Sindhology, our bungalow was some sort of Casual Hostel for researchers. We saw Dr. Shahnawaz Sodhar, Dr. Muhammad Idress Soomro, Dr. Bashir Ahmad "Shad" and so many others there in connection with their research task. My father also helped and guided Dr. Mazarudin Soomro, Dr. Mumtaz Bukhari, Dr. Khan Muhammad Larik and Dr. Badaruddin Ujan and so many others. They all have acknowledged help of my father with thanks in their Dissertations. Their Thesis are available in Gul Hayat. (Mumtaz Pathan)
گذريل 30 سالن ۾ سوشل سائنسز جي مختلف سبجيڪٽس ۾ پي ايڇ. ڪندڙن جو وڏو تعداد ٿيو آھي. اهي سمورا تحقيقي مقالاجيڪڏھن شايع ٿين ت بابا ڊاڪٽر درمحمد پٺاڻ جي تحقيقي خدمتن تي وڏي روشني پئي. بابو اهو واحد پي ايڇ. ڊي استاد آھي جنهن هڪ ئي خاندان جي پئ (ڊاڪٽر بشير احمد “شاد“) ۽ پٽ (ڊاڪٽر احسان “دانش“) کي پي ايڇ. ڊي ڪرائي. بابو جڏھن سنڌالاجئ ۾ ھوندو هو ت اسان جو بنگلو جهڙوڪ پي ايڇ. ڊي ڪندڙن جي هائسٽل لڳندي هئي. اتي اسان ڊاڪٽر محمد ادريس سومري ڊاڪٽر خان محمد لاڙڪ ۽ ڊاڪٽر شاهنواز سوڍر کي مهينن جا مهينا رهندي ۽ ڪم ڪندي ڏٺو ۽ بابي سائين کي سندن رهنمائي ڪندي ڏٺو. ڊاڪٽر بدر اڄڻ ۽ ڊاڪٽر مظھرالدين سومري ۽ ڊاڪٽر آپا شمس عباسئ جي شايع ٿيل ٿيسز ۾ انهن محققن بابا جي خدمتن ۽ سهڪار جو سٺن لفظن ۾ ذڪر ڪيو آھي.
