Centuries old my Sindhi language flourished on its own.It remained the language of people, by the people and for the people.Till kalhora period, no any Government sponserd Sindhi language.He was abu al Hassan sindhi, who developed script.shah latif bhittai made the sindhi language as an important and popular language of people. It was in the British period when Government took two major steps.one was to make compulsory for Gornment servants to read and speak Sindhi, other decision was to approve the script of sindhi language in 1853.District officers britishers as wel as local, did an excellent job to promote sindhi language.Rao Bahadur Chainrai Bulchand was deputy collector he compiled "A Glossry Of Sindhi Words In Common Use In Official Correspondence" it was published under the orders of the Commisioner in sindh and it was printed at the commissioners printing press Karachi in 1931.this is a wonderful work and to be 're printed by the Sindhi language Authorty or any other institution.Gul Hayat can provide copy, if requested.The book is in our labirary (mumtaz pathan)
سنڌي ٻولي ننڍي کنڊ جي اھا پھرين ۽ واحد ٻولي آھي جنهن ۾ قرآن شريف جي ڪجھہ آيتن جو ترجمو ٿيو. ھيءَ ٻولي سنڌ واسين کي پنهنجي ماءُ جي جھوليءَ مان ملي.ڪنهن بہ سرڪار ان جي سرپرستي نہ ڪئي ان ھوندي بہ سنڌي ٻوليءَ پنهنجي حيثيت مڃرائي.
1700 ۾ مخدوم ابوالحسن لپي جوڙي ۽ شاهه لطيف پنهنجي شاعري ذريعي ٻولي کي دنيا جي عظيم ۽ شاھوڪار ٻولين جي صف ۾ آڻي بيھاريو. 1853 ۾ سنڌي ٻولي جي لپي ٺھي تہ ڏيھي توڙي پرڏيھي سرڪاري ملازمن ان جي ترقي ۽ واڌاري لاءِ ڪوششون ورتيون.1931 ۾ راءِ بھادر چين راءِ بولچند ھي ڪتاب مرتب ڪيو جنهن ۾ اھي سنڌي لفظ ڏنا ويا آھن جن جو سرڪاري لک پڙھ ۾ گھڻو استعمال ٿيندو ھيو.ھن ڪتاب کي ٻيھر ڇپجڻ کپي ۽ ان سلسلي ۾ جيڪڏھن ڪنهن اداري کي ھن ڪتاب جي ضرورت پوي تہ اسان ڏيڻ لاءِ تيار آھيون.ھي ڪتاب گل حيات ۾ موجود آھي.(ممتاز)
